As a C.H.N.C. and a lover of delicious, nourishing food, I get so frustrated when I see grocery store shelves full of "fake food" products that are advertised as healthy. There is a lot of misinformation in our world, and it's becoming increasingly difficult for consumers to make a healthy choice.
One of the best examples of this is granola. Granola is seen as a healthy snack or breakfast option, yet almost all store-bought versions are packed with added sugar, artificial ingredients, poor quality oils, and preservatives. They are also baked quickly and at very high temperatures, which can destroy nutrients and can also turn all of the beneficial healthy fats rancid!
My goal is to bring healthy and convenient into the same sentence. By combining this goal with my education in both Holistic Nutrition and plant-based cooking, Sonder Granola was born.
